The RSUD Koja hospital is right nearby (hence the name), so if you’re visiting someone there, this location is perfect. Parking is available right on-site, which — trust me — is a huge deal in Jakarta where finding a spot can be a nightmare. I mean, free parking in this city? That’s worth celebrating.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was clean and functional, which is exactly what you want from a three-star property. RedDoorz has this standardized approach where you know what you’re getting — decent air conditioning (essential in Jakarta’s heat), a comfortable bed, and a private bathroom. The Wi-Fi actually worked well, which isn’t always a given in budget hotels. Sure, it’s not fancy, but everything you need is there, and the housekeeping was thorough.

While there isn’t a restaurant on-site, you’re actually in a great spot for authentic Indonesian food. Just walk down Jl. Mangga and you’ll find local warungs serving incredible nasi gudeg and other Javanese specialties that you won’t find in the touristy areas. There’s this little place about two blocks away that serves the best gado-gado I’ve had in Jakarta — the owner doesn’t speak much English, but the food speaks for itself. You know what? Sometimes being away from the main hotel districts means you get to eat where locals actually eat.

Couples seem to really appreciate this place, and I can see why. It’s quiet, affordable, and gives you that authentic Jakarta experience without the chaos of central areas like Menteng or Thamrin.
